My eyes fly open, realizing what happened last night. I’m now in my bed, but I didn’t fall asleep here? How did I get here. Kaden must’ve moved me before Kam woke up.

I take a quick shower and throw some clothes on, going downstairs I hear knocking on the door. Who’s here at 11 am?

I walk to the door and open it, a petite girl with dark curly hair stands ahead of me.

“who are you?” She asks with a confused look. She just came knocking on the door of the house I currently live in and she’s gonna ask me who I am? “Umm I think I should be asking you that” I snap at her. I’m not typically a morning person. The look on her face is horrified. “Jade, Jade Karrington, I’m here for Kaden has he not mentioned me before?” She asked with a smirk. My face instantly turns red, this is Jade. The girl he was screaming about on the phone last night.

“no, he hasn’t but come in I’m sure he’s somewhere I’ll go find him” I say while gesturing her inside. I storm off looking for Kaden who I spot sitting out by the beach. I approach him and shout at him “Kaden one of your little friends are here” I say rolling my eyes. He honestly looks more confused then me “Jade, Jade Karrington” I say mocking the girl. His face turns super pale, before his eyes search my face for emotion. “Saige.. it’s not what it looks like I swear” he affirms. “Kaden cut the shit, you had me sleep in your room last night just so you could move me out before one of your little girlfriends show up, I don’t care what excuse you have, you’re not my boyfriend” I yell at him.

“fuck” “no no saige I didn’t even know she was coming I swea” he pleads but before he can finish I throw my hands up at him cutting him off. “Kaden just stop” I say storming away. The girl is sitting on the couch waiting for him but instead of just waiting for him quietly she decides to interrogate me. “So you must be his new girl I assume” she asks. I laugh at the assumption and casually answer her “no, I’m not his “new girl” I’m his sisters best friend, we live here with him, but you must be one of his many “friends”. I say with much sarcasm. She just kinda laughs and stays silent. This girl really has some nerve.

I go upstairs waking up Kambrie, not wanting to be questioned any further by this mystery Jade girl. “Kambrie, wake up, do you know who Jade Karrington is” I ask fuming. Her face turns red instantly “yes, why?” She demands an answer from me. “She just came knocking on the door and then had the nerve to ask me who I was, she said she’s here for Kaden” I say confused. Kams face only turns red when she’s super pissed so this Jade girl must be bad news around here. “She’s here in our fucking house? That’s Kadens ex girlfriend who he was with for eight months before she went missing for two years now, she was why we had to send Kaden to rehab, after she went missing he got into drinking pretty badly” she whispers not wanting anyone to over hear this conversation.

it’s all making sense now, the phone call, his actions last night, the whiskey, his room. I can’t even tell Kam because she’d probably kill me. The only words that I can form is “oh” that’s when Kam jumps up running down the stairs, my guess is she probably wants to kill Jade.

I follow her down the stairs, both Kaden and Jade are nowhere to be seen. “I swear if she ever comes back here I will kill her and do not let her back in this house Saige” she demands. I nod in agreement to her statement. I know she just want to protect her brother and after everything Jade caused she just needs to stay away from him.
