Kadens Pov

I wake up to someone laying on my chest. My eyes widen instantly when I realize it’s Saige. I thought it was a dream at first but when her body shifts I know it’s her. It’s currently 9:00am on a Saturday, thankfully Kam won’t be up for hours. I gently move trying not to wake her, she looks so peaceful. I gently pick her up, and carry her to her room placing her in her bed. I pull the comforter over her. Before leaving I sit there and admire her, I think I’m starting to love this girl. She saved me last night, if it wasn’t for her I probably would’ve relapsed.

i walk out her room and my way down stairs to get a glass of water. After finishing the glass I go put the back door, which leads out to the beach. I sit in a chair as I watch the beautiful waves crashing onto the shore.

my mind goes back to the way she looked at me when she seen the whiskey, it’s almost like she knew something wasn’t right. I’ve been sober for six months now and could’ve potentially ruined that last night if it wasn’t for her. The thought of her seeing who I used to be scares me. I felt instant relief when she got in my bed and just laid there with me, no expectations, she was just there for comfort. That’s exactly what I needed, was her.
