i walk into the house spotting Jade sitting on the couch.

“Hey.. I don’t think your sisters friend likes me to much” she says with a small giggle.

I’m not amused. If saige doesn’t like you then honestly fuck you. She probably has a good reason, even if she just met her.

“Come on let’s go talk somewhere else” i mutter at her.

We walk out to my car both of us getting in, I put the car in drive and drive to the nearest park. We get out and sit at a table under the canopy.

“so you just disappear for two years, not telling anyone you’re okay and then show back up like nothing happened” I scold at her.

“Kaden it’s much more complicated then that, my life was perfect, I had you, I was the dance team captain, everything was going great… but then I got pregnant and I didn’t know what to do so I just ran and never looked back” she says quietly.

Did she just say pregnant? With my baby? That’s not possible I always wrap.

“What do you mean pregnant Jade, was it mine?” I shout at her.

She looks down before answering me “no.. it’s not yours it’s Josh’s baby, she’s 1 1/2 now her name is Kieara Grace” she mumbled.

Did she just say josh? Fucking josh? He was my best friend. We fell off after Jade went missing, I had no idea why until now.

“I told josh but he didn’t want anything to do with us” she says.

“You slept with my best friend and then gave his baby the same first two initials of my fucking name Jade” I yell slamming my hands on the table.

“Kaden I’m sorry” she cries.

“Fuck you Jade” I shouted storming away to my car leaving her at the park.

I pull into Josh’s driveway, I walk up and begin pounding on his door. The door opens and Claire is standing in the doorway

“where the fuck is josh” I say walking into the house.

Josh comes around the corner “Kaden man what’s up” he questions.

“I’ll tell you what’s up josh, you slept with Jade and got her fucking pregnant that’s why she left, you knew didn’t you” I scream in his face.

“Kaden what the fuck are you talking about, I slept with Jade once but I never heard about her being pregnant the girl disappeared” he says confused.

He’s not lying. When josh lies his left eye twitches. I take a deep breathe.

“Jade showed up to my house this morning and went on to tell me she left after she found out she was pregnant with your kid, she said you didn’t want nothing to do with them. That’s not even the worst part she named her kid Kieara Grace, after me Kaden Gray” I explain to him.

His face is pale and he looks like he’s gonna faint.

“Kaden there’s no way that kids mine man, I slept with her before yall even became official” he admits.

So what he’s telling me is Jades a whore. not just a whore but a lying whore.

“Get a dna test man, sorry for all this” I say apologetically.

I look over to see Claire is terrified, “Claire im sorry I overreacted” I say walking towards her as she hugs me.

Claire and I got pretty close when she first got with Josh, she was like another little sister really.

I walk out the house trying to put all the pieces together.

So josh did sleep with Jade but that was six months before she disappeared, her kids a 1/2 years old which means the time frame doesn’t add up.

I need to talk to Saige. I need to explain. I can’t have her mad at me. I need her.

I go back home searching the house for saige, she’s in her room watching Netflix.

“Saige” I call out opening her door.

She shoots me a glare and screams at me to get out.

Great. She’s pissed.

“Saige please let me explain” I plead.

“Kaden go bother one of your bitches, I’m sure ember and Jade would love to here your lame excuse but o rather not” she snarls.

I walk out her room slamming the door.

Fuck this.

I pull out my phone texting Ember “we’re done, don’t text me, don’t call, don’t even look my way” I press send.

If this is what it takes to get Saige somewhat not mad then so be it.

the way her hands moved on my back, putting me at peace replays in my head, the way she grabbed my arm and told me I’ve had enough. That was the most at peace I’ve felt in years.

that was the first time I let a girl stay in my room since Jade. What is she doing to me? She’s making me feel so many emotions. I hate seeing her near other guys, especially that Giovanni dude. I feel the need to protect her and take care of her.

The thought of her never talking to me again haunts me. I’ll do anything and everything I can to make it up to her.
