Take the blackest canvas and paint a billion stars and galaxies. This is what cosmic sentience has done, all life calls her, Mother.
Cloud like colorful nebula stretching her finger shaped forms across the starry blackness. A dizzying and outnumbering panorama of endless unseen shimmering realities so bright you can see their blinding rays from thousands of years away.
It’s unknown how far but somewhere deep the death of an old star leaves behind a blue mass of elements and dust. Left behind also, a neutron star. An almost invisible thing where a sliver of light encircles its dark form. One that eventually comes within range of another, and they circle each other from a distance. As they orbit closer to one another the speed they circle each other increases. Until finally, they collide and detonate. The explosion is bright, silent, waves of energy ripple violently through the starry dark. A vast array of colors is born, stretching from the point of impact wide and far. Scattering heavy elements in the form of random colors across the aphotic star scape.
Mother has been busy; her work may seem extraordinary, chaotic, and even beautiful but it is far from perfect. Likened to that of blasting anvil sparks, there are many more variables to influence her creations shape.
Far flung now, elements like gold and lead are guided by her instinct to form distant worlds, the ones she chooses. However, something escaped her forge, a newborn sentience that can’t take the common shapes she needs. In fact, it refuses.
Particles dance and swirl in her galactic arms with what could only be described as joy. In time, the voiceless formless mind matured and was given a task.
In the animal kingdom, instinct or impulse at an early age is something that aids the survival or development of a species. An internal compass, tapping on the brain and neuro web of the animal to do something specific. It’s not a voice, nor is it an external force. It is a feeling, and it is similar to how the creature feels. It knows it must go to earth, it knows it must help humanity, it needs to show Mother how far her precious little things have come. From here it cannot tell how long the journey will take.
