Elliott was the first to react and ran to her quickly he jumped off after her. He didn’t know what to do when he got to her he just felt like he needed to get to her.
Kay saw him jump off after her as he reached out for her she took his hand and he pulled her in as they fell. He caught a root that was now exposed and they slammed into the side of the cliff, Elliott hit the cliff first slamming his arm that held the root and some of his back into the cliff. Kay was too surprised he had jumped off after her to say anything at first. Before she could the root broke and they were falling again. Elliott started to pull her closer wanting to protect her before they hit the water but Kay saw something falling after them.
She pushed him away getting him just out of range before moving to defend herself from the large rock headed straight for her. It landed on her just before she hit the water knocking the air out of her lungs and causing her to hit her head against it on impact with the water. Elliott was confused about why she pushed him away until he saw the rock land on her and push her down. So, when he landed in the water he dove down after her hoping she was okay. As he dove down Kay had managed to push herself out from under the rock as it was falling, but she was losing consciousness quickly and was disoriented.
She had just barely seen someone swimming toward her when she lost consciousness. Elliott could see blood swirling in the water around her as he got closer. When he got to her he pulled her in and noticed she was not conscious as he swam to the surface. The others were just about to dive down when they saw them come to the surface. They saw Elliott pulling Kay to the shore and could tell she must have been knocked out.
Elliott hadn’t noticed as he pulled her to shore but he had pulled her under a ledge. Once he got her to shore he noticed she wasn’t breathing and began to try and get her to breathe. Soon she began to cough up the water in her lungs and he turned her on her side and sat beside her.
