He wanted to move to her side and pull her in but he knew that he would probably be caught by the others so he simply said, “I know you didn’t mean to cause anyone to worry but you could have gotten seriously injured if we hadn’t been paying attention. You fell off your horse Kay. If Dillon and I hadn’t noticed something was off with you. Then you would have fallen to the ground and depending on how you landed you could have been fine but the way you were falling it’s unlikely you wouldn’t have been at least hurt.”
Kay got up and walked to him she could see he was upset as she said, “I’m sorry I didn’t realize I was that close to passing out, I thought we could make it to camp. Next time I will let you know if I need a break.” He pulled her in not caring if his men saw now, he had been so worried about her since she fell off the cliff and he jumped after her. She buried her face in his chest as she held his shirt. She knew he had thought about everything that could have happened if she had hit the ground including her death. He hugged her until he felt better than just continued to hug her he didn’t want to let her go.
Kay then pulled away quickly and Elliott heard Dillon whispering to Kyle but he couldn’t tell what they were saying. Kay put her finger to her lips and slipped out the back of her tent and around she saw them trying to listen at the door of the tent snuck up behind them and whispered, “Did you hear anything good.” Kyle wasn’t paying attention and said, “No we just got here now be quiet I’m sure she’s awake and they’ll start talking as soon as he’s done making sure she’s okay.” She smiled a little and whispered back “really and what will they be talking about this time.” Kyle said, “well we have a couple of theory’s. some of us are betting on him telling her she needs to tell us when she needs a brake but others think.”
At that point he turned and saw Kay and tapped on Dillon, Kay was smiling and said, “oh no don’t stop now. I really want to hear what the others think.” Elliott opened the tent and said, “I’m kind of curious too. So go on what’s the vote.” Kyle was panicked and started to back away from them as he began to trip over his words.
