I apparently stumbled into the table then the wall on my way to the bathroom you guys heard the noise and came to check on me but I didn’t answer. Since I didn’t respond and you heard the door slam inside you thought something was wrong and kicked the door in to help. when you couldn’t find me, you went to check the bathroom which I locked out of habit you called I didn’t respond and you kicked the bathroom door in as well. You found me passed out in the bathroom after that. That is the best story I could come up with to explain this mess.” Kyle said, “that’s almost too believable if we didn’t see the footprints and the window wasn’t open, I would believe that’s what happened.” Lucas and the girls laughed and Lucas said, “Nobody back home would believe that story in a million years.” Kay glared at them and said, “Nobody here knows my limits it may not be believable in serpents sanctuary but it is here so shut up unless you have a better story.” This caught everyone’s attention and Kyle asked, “How high is your tolerance.”
Lucas laughed and said, “She has probably out-drank everyone back home.” Kay waved them off and said, “This story should be good enough to cover up what really happened until we find the proof, they attacked me first and it was self-defense. They won’t openly admit they got beaten by me unless they go on the defensive.” Elliott nodded and they headed to see Lucas and the girls off, as they walked through Elliott saw Kay was uneasy and something was clearly wrong. then Elliott thought of what Lucas had said about Jack being like Kay’s fiancé and he grabbed Lucas’s arm making him slow down getting him out of Kay’s hearing range and asked, “Do you still think her fiancé is like him?” Lucas shook his head and said, “No her fiancé is worse because once they’re married, she won’t be able to get away from him and she won’t have anyone to help her.”
Elliott froze for a second and Lucas turned back and said, “Now do you understand why we are determined not to let the marriage happen?” Elliott was now more concerned about Kay as they continued on their way. When they got there Kay gave Lucas a letter and asked, “Can you give this to my parents for me?”
