She didn’t like the way he looked at her or the creepy smile he wore every time he looked at her, but she knew she had to answer him or he would tell her she was being disrespectful to her commander and offer to teach her in private. She didn’t like those comments so she simply said, “I’ve been training. Which is where I’m heading now prince Xavier, If there’s nothing more I’ll be on my way.” He smiled a little bigger and said, “I can help you train if you would like. I can give you some pointers and correct your posture on your archery.”
She tried to hide the shutter that ran down her spine that told her to run as she said, “no thank you Prince Xavier, I’m sure you are far too busy to help me and I wouldn’t want to waste your time.” He looked her up and down before saying, “it wouldn’t be a waste of my time. It would be my pleasure to teach you, my dear.” He started to reach for her then and she skillfully dodged and made it look like he wasn’t reaching for her but beside her when Elliott came up and said, “good afternoon brother.”
Elliott is Xavier's younger brother and was closer in age to Kay then Xavier was. He had hair as black as the night sky and Artic blue eyes. He was just a little taller than Kay and she had noticed he always seemed to show up just when she needed him to. She liked seeing him and she always felt comfortable talking with him. He had never made her feel like Xavier had and never looked at her like Xavier either.
Xavier forced a smile and said, “Brother, what are you doing here?” Elliott smiled knowing he was interrupting Xavier and keeping him from harassing Kay. Elliott didn’t know why but he had never liked the way Xavier looked at Kay and he was always coming to help her when he would notice she seemed uneasy or uncomfortable.
