He rushed over forgetting about his shirt and came in and saw her on her hands and knees holding her head. Penny said, “I was trying to help her to the bed when she collapsed.” Elliott moved to Kay and picked her up. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he did and buried her face in the nape of his neck as the world spun around her. He sat her on the bed helped her to lay down and covered her up.
She was having a hard time staying awake as Elliott sat on the bed next to her and began checking her bandages. Penny watched him for a second before noticing the small injuries that covered his back and one of his arms that had been left untreated. She looked back at Kay whose injuries were well tended to and then back to Elliott’s and understood that he was more concerned with her than himself. Kay had also noticed Elliott’s injuries and weakly said, “Don’t worry about me treat your injuries.” Elliott then realized he had forgotten to stick his shirt on and said, “They aren’t as bad as yours. I’ll be fine, let me treat you first. Don’t worry about it.”
Kay tried to push his hand away as she said, “You should treat your injuries first.” A tier escaped her eye as she began to lose all strength and passed out. Elliott wiped the tear away and finished tending to her wounds. He then went back to the other room and grabbed his shirt and his stuff before heading back to her room and sitting on the floor next to the bed. It was clear he wasn’t leaving her side that night and Penny and Lee didn’t push the issue.
By morning he had checked on her multiple times and changed her bandages once again. As he did he noticed most of the bleeding had stopped so he didn’t wrap her head completely just bandaged the spots she was hurt. He then sat back down on the floor and his thoughts turned back to her marrying some guy that would most likely hurt her. he couldn’t stand the thought of her getting hurt but if he didn’t do something she was going to whether he liked it or not. As he sat there Kay woke up, she saw him sitting on the floor his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands.
