Soon Lucas noticed Elliott watching Kay and stepped out of the dancing and grabbed him and pulled him into the dance with them.
They all knew he wanted to hide how he felt about Kay so Alice danced with him first and said, “we all know how you feel about Kay and we want to help.” then Lilly cut in and said, “we want Kay to be happy and we think she would be if she was with you.” then Nicole cut in and said, “but we can only help so much you will have to do the rest.” then she passed him to Kay who was a little cot off guard by dancing with Elliott but continued the dance as if nothing was wrong.
By Lucas pulling Elliott into the dance, it showed that Elliott had gained Lucas’s respect and trust. While anyone can ask to dance with them Lucas normally kept a close eye on them but with Elliott, he didn’t feel he had to. Later Elliott went to Lucas and asked, “Why did you pull me into the dance like that?” Lucas shrugged and said, “It gave you a good excuse to dance with her and you have earned my trust and respect it also evened out our numbers. so, tell me why shouldn’t I have pulled you into the dance?” Elliott simply said, “You know why and now they will be keeping an eye on me when it comes to her.”
Lucas smiled and said, “Then the answer is simply to tell them and her how, you feel if they try to force Kay to do anything she doesn’t want to then she will leave. You could always go with her.” Elliott was still watching Kay smiling and laughing as she danced with Alice with Lilly and Nicole dancing not far away. When the song ended, they were heading to where Lucas and Elliott were talking Alice, Nicole, and Lilly almost ran over they were as happy as could be. Before they reached them Elliott said, “That would depend on if she even likes me or not and what my parents think about the whole thing.” Jack and Jade entered the party then and Jack spotted Kay he couldn’t see the other girls from where he was, he only saw Kay walking across the dance floor and headed to her.
He reached her before she reached Lucas and Elliott, Lilly, Alice, and Nicole reached them just before Kay was pulled into the dance with Jack.
