Which means I will still be a soldier in your troop. You can’t protect me from everything.” Elliott cut her off when he took her hand and pulled her in, he wrapped his arms around her and said, “I’ve thought it all through. I won’t regret this decision. I’ve never been surer of anything in my life.” Kay held onto his shirt and asked, “Then can I ask you to do something for me?”
he looked at her and said, “Of course, what is it?” she didn’t look at him as she said, “If we do this and something ends up happening to me, will you go see Kaycee for me.” Elliott was surprised and said, “Isn’t she Lucas’s older sister? The princess who rejected the crown and then excepted the arranged marriage with Xavier and has been away from serpents sanctuary for awhile.” Kay nodded and said, “She will return in time for the marriage arrangement.” Elliott pulled her closer and said, “If she will see me then I will go. Is there something you want me to tell her?”
Kay shook her head and said, “No she’s going to tell you everything I didn’t get to tell you if there is anything. She is the only one who knows everything. Lucas can tell you some and so can the girls but not as much as Kaycee. I want to tell you everything now but I can’t it’s just not time for you to know yet.” He nodded and said, “One problem though, I don’t plan on letting anything happen to you. So, you’re probably going to have to tell me everything yourself.” She smiled and shook her head a little and said, “I will tell you everything as soon as I can. Though you have to remember you can’t protect me from everything. It’s my job to protect you remember.” He kissed her forehead and said, “That may be so but I can still try.” Kay’s cheeks turned a little red she hadn’t expected him to kiss her forehead.
Elliott had noticed but said nothing as he held her close. Kay felt safe with him and wasn’t ready to pull away just yet. As they stood there Penny knocked on the door and came in she smiled and said, “Well I’m glad you’re both awake come and eat something. Breakfast is on the table; Lee is already there.” Kay and Elliott looked at each other before following Penny to the dining table.
