Later at the ball when they were introduced Kay came down alone following them. everyone in the room stopped and stared as she came down in a stunning strapless black chiffon dress with roses along the belt the bottom flowed around her legs hiding the slit that ran almost to her hip where she kept her dagger when she wore a dress, her mask was black there was a rose in her hair at the top and then more at the back of her hair which was in a tight bun this time. Her position in the line told everyone how highly they thought of her because in their kingdom they descend the stairs with the most important at the back of the group. Kay’s position changes depending on if she was walking down with someone or not. When she started to look unstable Elliott came down the stairs to help her which only surprised everyone more.
When Kay saw it was Elliott, she hesitated for a second before taking his arm when she did, she thanked him. When Emma saw Elliott help Kay she wondered if he liked Kay and began to think about having them get married to strengthen the ties with Serpent’s sanctuary do to the obvious respect the prince and princesses had for Kay. She quickly dismissed the idea because then she wouldn’t have anyone to marry Jade of Starry plains. Emma knew Jade and Jack would be arriving soon she had sent the messengers out with the invitations for both Kingdoms after Elliott, Kay, and Lucas headed to the starry plains. The plan to have a ball was made after they got back from serpent’s sanctuary.
when they got to the bottom of the stairs, she reluctantly released Elliott’s arm as Lilly and Alice came up and linked their arms with hers, they thanked him and they moved to the dance floor. Kay danced with Alice and Lilly at the same time leading them as they went, they then danced with Lucas as Kay danced with Nicole, and finally, Nicole danced with Alice and Lilly as Kay danced with Lucas. It was clear to everyone they were having fun as they danced. Everyone couldn’t help but just watch as they danced it was like they were too stunned by them to join in.
