Elliott and Lucas saw it happen though and weren’t happy about it. When Jack caught Kay by the wrist and pulled her in, he smiled and said, “It’s nice to see you again Kay.” Kay tried to pull away but he only held tighter as Kay said, “Let go of me.” it wasn’t long before both Elliott and Lucas were beside her and Lucas said, “I’ll have to ask you to release her, She clearly doesn’t want to dance with you and after the last ball I don’t blame her.” He said the last part quietly and with so much anger in his voice behind his smile it was clear to Jack that Lucas had no problem fighting him in the middle of the ballroom if he didn’t release Kay immediately.
It was also clear by the look on Elliott’s face he wouldn’t even try to stop it in fact he would probably help Lucas and Keep the guards back. Jack released Kay and she moved away from him she couldn’t hit royalty here no matter the circumstance so it was best to let Lucas and Elliott handle it. Kay calmly walked behind Lucas and Elliott began to lead her away and back to the other girls as Lucas said, “That’s probably the smartest move you’ve made in the past two days at least. I would recommend staying away from her from now on.” He then walked away following Kay and Elliott without another word. As they were walking back, they stopped in their tracks when Grayson’s voice reached them saying, “Kay dear there you are. The messenger for the ball arrived after you guys left when I asked why you didn’t just bring it, they explained you didn’t know about it.”
Kay smiled and said, “Had we known we would have definitely brought it with us though it is still a surprise to see you came personally, King Grayson.” He smiled and said, “Oh I know you would have dear and I had something to discuss with King Alexander and Queen Emma so I left sir. Victor in charge until I get back.” Kay relaxed a little and said, “That’s a wise decision. Your kingdom is in excellent hands then.” Grayson’s smile widened as he said, “I will tell him you say as much when I return, he will take pride in a complement like that from you.”
