Kay went through the exercises that would help each of them without telling them as the day progressed pretending, she needed to work on them herself and asking them if they would like to join. They ate together and worked out together strengthening their teamwork and allowing the ones who needed work in certain areas to get that work with their team. Kay corrected them if they were doing something slightly off and encouraged them all to do better. By the end of the day, they were all tired but they all had fun and decided to do it at least once a week.
The next day when they got up, they all got ready to leave for the ball. Elliott and Xavier road in a carriage as their guards road beside them. Kay took the lead on the way it took about half the day to get there. When they exited the forest, they were greeted with a beautiful site of the ocean at the far end of a hilly plain. the green grass in their site moved like the waves making the hills look more like waves with their white flowers on top of them.
As they approached the gate Kay moved behind the carriage and let the horseman get ahead of her, a guard came out to see who it was and ask why they had come to serpents sanctuary. his name was Nick he had Gray hair and ice-blue eyes. Nick was looking at some notes as he approached and Kay got off her horse with a mischievous smile. Some of the guards recognized her immediately and were watching and trying not to laugh as Nick approached them. Kay held her finger to her lips telling them to be quiet.
Nick got to them and said, “Who are you, what is your business with our kingdom today, and how long will you be staying? I must know before I can let you in.” Kay slipped around the carriage and behind Nick as he was talking to the horseman. the others in her group were watching with raised eyebrows as she got behind him. Then she smiled and said, “I think you forgot some questions. Like how many are in their group.” Nick turned quickly as he heard her voice.
he wasn’t expecting anyone to be behind him. he was caught off guard to see Kay there he then smiled and said, “oh, Lady Kay it’s you. Have you come for the ball?”
