Elliott then asked, “If you’re a reverend, do you do secret marriages as well?” Lee seemed confused as he said, “If the reason is good enough then yes I can. why do you ask?” Kay understood why and said, “Would you mind marrying us? The thing is he doesn’t know my real name and he can’t know, not yet anyway.” Lucas then cut in and said, “her family wants her to marry someone she doesn’t love. I asked her to marry me so she didn’t have to marry him. She’s not going to be safe with him if she goes through with the marriage and I have promised her she will have control over when the marriage ended so if she found someone she wanted to be with we could end the marriage and she could be with them, and nothing had to change as far as anything else goes. But she can’t be forced to marry him if she is already married.” Lee was surprised and looked at Kay and said, “I want to ask you both a question in private before I say if I’m willing. Would that be okay?”
They both nodded and Lee got up and said, “One of you come with me.” Elliott got up and went with him and when they were alone he asked, “do you love her?” Elliott was caught off guard but said, “Yes, I do and I want to protect her. I haven’t told her how I feel though so please don’t tell her.” Lee nodded and said, “That is something you will have to do but I will agree to this marriage depending on what she tells Penny.” Meanwhile, after they left Penny looked at Kay and asked, “Do you love him?”
Kay was surprised but said, “Yes, though I’ve never dared to tell him that. It’s funny I can stand strong against an enemy but against my feelings for him I buckle every time.” Penny smiled and said, “That’s normal Hun though I think you should especially if he’s willing to do this to protect you. I think there might be more to it though.” Before Kay could ask what she meant Lee and Elliott came back and Lee looked at Penny who simply nodded once. Lee then said, “Okay I will go through with this then. How were you planning on keeping it a secret.” Kay said, “We will be signing two marriage papers one with my current name and one with my real name.
