As Kay was practicing her sword fighting Xavier came in and said, “Kay, there you are I came to ask if you would be my guard at Princess Alice and Princess Lilly’s ball.” Elliott came up before Kay could say anything and said, “sorry brother she’s already going and she isn’t going to be a guard that day she’s going as a guest.” Xavier was mad as he thought Elliott had asked her to go with him as his date. Kay then added, “I can escort both of you before I take my leave from the group.” Elliott asked, “what about your dress won’t it get damaged if you escort us?”
Kay smiled and said, “I won’t be wearing a dress there. So, there is no chance of that happening.” Xavier was confused as they talked and decided to see how this played out that day as he thought ‘either way she would still be there so I can’t complain too much.’ Xavier then said, “okay then I guess I need to find someone else to guard me at the party.” He left as Elliott looked at Kay and asked, “Dillon is going to be my guard, do you need to bring some one with you since you’re going as a guest?” Kay smiled and said, “no I should be fine but thank you for asking.”
When Xavier left Kay said, “thank you for that.” Elliott smiled and said, “anytime but I actually came here to let you know that I talked to my parents about doing a training mission in the woods after the ball. So, you and Kyle can have your competition.” Kay said, “that sounds good. How long after the ball.” Elliott said, “we can go the day after if you would prefer.” Kay quickly said, “that won’t work. We will be heading back the day after the ball. It would probably be better to go the next day or the day after that.”
Elliott asked, “what do you mean? We’re not staying the night there.” Kay smiled and said, “you might not be but I doubt they will just let me leave early.” Elliott frowned and said, “they can’t keep you there.” Kay laughed and said, “it’ll be fine if they do it’s because they don’t trust that I won’t fall asleep on my way back.” Elliott was skeptical but trusted her and scheduled the woods training for a couple of days after the ball.
