Lucas talked with Kay and Elliott on his way out and when they got there Lucas looked at Kay and kissed her cheek again and said, “don’t do anything crazy okay? I don’t want to be the one to have to tell Lilly and Alice you got hurt because you did something crazy.” Kay smiled and said, “I make no promises.” Lucas smirked at Elliott and said, “then can I ask you to keep an eye out for her. You’re not going to be able to catch every crazy thing she does but at least try and stop her from doing something really crazy.” Elliott agreed and they shook on it and Kay said, “hay don’t I get a say in this?” they both said “no”
Then Lucas asked, “Kay can I have a word with Prince Elliott for a moment.” Kay stepped back and Lucas smiled and quietly said, “I saw your reactions today. I know the truth even if you try to hide it from everyone else you can’t hide it from me. I know you like her. Just promise me you’ll keep her as safe as possible and I won’t tell her how you feel.” Elliott was surprised by Lucas’s words but said, “she’s a member of my troop I had already planned on protecting her.” Lucas smiled and said, “then you have nothing to worry about except someone else coming to take her away you should tell her how you feel before it’s too late.” Elliott thought about that for a second when Kay walked up and Lucas hugged her goodbye.
Xavier had been passing by and saw Lucas kiss Kay’s cheek and then hug her before leaving and was filled with jealousy and anger. He stormed away wondering how to handle the matter. After Lucas left Kay and Elliott went back to talking about the rankings since Kay didn’t want to have the second-in-command position Elliott thought it would be best to make her the third-in-command, and one of his advisors on missions so she could come in and give her advice on the missions. Kay agreed with that and they began talking about the practices and drills and everything else she needed to know. After they were done it was time for lunch and Dillon showed her where they normally ate as Elliott went to the castle.
