The next day Kay and Elliott decided to have their fight everyone in the troop came to watch. As they fought it was clear they were for the most part evenly matched even though Elliott was much bigger than her, Kay had speed on her side. The fight went on for almost an hour as they each tried to get the upper hand then Elliott left an opening and Kay took it. Before he knew what happened Kay had her sword to his throat and the rest of the troop cheered as Kay stepped back. they were both breathing hard but Kay got ahold of her breathing faster than Elliott.
Kay put her training swords away and said, “you were good if you hadn’t left that opening it probably would have come down to stamina.” Elliott smiled and said, “then you probably still would have won because I was running out of stamina when you won.” Kay smiled and said, “then you need to work on your stamina that’s probably why you left such an obvious opening.” Elliott laughed a little and said, “you’re probably right.” Kay took a deep breath and said, “though you are the only person to last so long against me.”
Elliott thought about it and asked, “has anyone beat you?” Kay smiled and said, “only Lucas.” The rest of the troop were surprised not only in the fact Kay was beaten but at who beat her. then Kyle asked, “was it a challenge or just a fight.” Kay said, “it was a challenge and he won his prize.”
Kyle asked, “what was his prize?” Kay smiled and said, “I can tell you that after you beat me but that will cost the information about his and my supposed relationship.” Kyle thought about it and asked, “if one of us beats you then we get the information we ask for so if all of us beat you we can ask whatever we want.” Kay said, “that’s right you can also choose for me to tell everyone or just you.” Kay then looked at Elliott and said, “I’m going to work on my stamina if you guys want to join.”
Elliott agreed then the others followed and they all began to work together.
