Kay then said, “though we will be taking this challenge off castle grounds. I’m thinking the woods would be fine.” Elliott agreed with her and decided to set up a training session in the woods and started to leave to tell his parents. Kay thought about it and asked, “Prince Elliott, before I forget to ask, when is the thing and who are you going to bring with you?”
Elliott thought about it and said, “well since they know you it would make since to just bring you, wouldn’t it?” Kay said, “under normal circumstances probably but for this no. he already told you that if either of you bring me it’s essentially as a guest and you’ll need to bring someone else as a guard. Honestly that’s probably how it would be under normal circumstances as well.” Elliott shrugged and said, “then who do you suggest I bring?” Kay said, “Dillon would probably be best since he is your second-in-command.” Elliott smiled and said, “you’re right but he doesn’t like going to things like this.”
Dillon quickly asked, “what are you going to and why can’t you take Kay.” Elliott said, “it’s a ball and I can bring her but I have to bring someone else as a guard and it’s the day after tomorrow.” The rest of the troop were surprised then Dillon asked, “will Kay be going or staying then?” Kay smiled and said, “it lands on my day off so I will be going regardless of what Prince Elliott decides.” Dillon thought about it and said, “okay I’ll go then.”
Elliott looked at him quickly and asked, “what made you change your mind about going to balls.” Dillon said, “it’s not every day you get to see Kay in a dress and I’m not missing that. I’ll get to mess with her for a long time about this, I’ll also get to see how Prince Lucas is around Kay and get the answers without fighting her, it’ll be great.” Kay then said, “on second thought maybe he wouldn’t be the right person to bring.” Dillon smiled and said, “too late.” Kay shook her head and said, “okay, good luck finding me.”
Dillon and Elliott were confused and Dillon asked, “won’t you be riding with us?”
