Kay still wasn’t happy about Cole being here and was tired of dealing with him so she said, “if you want to, I think I’ll take you up on the offer of dealing with him for me but can we decide what I owe you later?” Lucas smiled and said, “this one’s on me.” He then turned and nodded as his soldiers came up and arrested Cole. As they did Cole began to get angry and asked, “why am I being arrested? They are not from your kingdom.”
Lucas shrugged and said, “you attacked three of my guests for starters.” Cole quickly said, “I only attacked two and only to stop them to talk to Kay none of them got hurt.” Lucas arched an eyebrow and said, “the three guests you attacked are Prince Xavier, Prince Elliott, and Kay. Are you denying that you attacked all three of them?” Cole was shocked and stayed quiet as Lucas then said, “not only did you attack them but you were also harassing Kay and that is something I simply can’t stand. Kay is someone I trust and respect and I expect her to be treated with respect in my kingdom. She told you she’s not interested in you but you continued to insist.” Cole then asked, “who is she to you? Are you who she’s engaged to?”
Lucas and Kay shuttered and said, “no.” at the same time. Lucas then said, “I see kay more as a sister than anything else and I treat her as such. So, in harassing her and making her mad, you have made me mad as well especially since you chose to do this on my land. Take them away.” The soldiers bowed and began to drag all of them away Kay then said, “the two under him were just following orders can you just send them home.” Lucas smiled and said, “okay but their boss isn’t getting off as easy.”
The two soldiers who had the men who helped Cole stopped and waited to hear the next move, Kay smiled and said, “thank you, Lucas.” He kissed her cheek and quietly said, “anytime and remember we can deal with your engagement for you all you have to do is say the word.” Kay smiled and said, “thank you but it’s what’s better for the people.” They spoke low so nobody could hear them, Lucas frowned and said, “but not for you, and we can protect them you know that.” Kay said, “I’ll think about it okay.”
