Well, except the person she is supposed to marry and his family.” Dillon nodded and asked, “What will you do if the engagement does get called off? Will you ever tell her?” Elliott said, “I don’t know yet right now I just want to keep Xavier from messing with her. He seems to have his eyes on her and since she can’t defend herself without him turning it around on her I can’t do anything about it so I don’t see the point in telling her besides at this point my parents might have ideas of an arranged marriage with starry plains as well. So, I might not have a choice on who I marry anyway.” Dillon shook his head and said, “You’re just using that as an excuse. You should tell her if you don’t you will regret it when she marries someone else.”
Elliott knew Dillon was right but he was worried Kay didn’t feel the same and that would cause issues between them. The more he thought about it the more he didn’t like the thought of her marrying someone else. He wouldn’t try and stop her if she liked or even loved the person and he would even congratulate her and tell her he was glad she found someone who made her happy. But that doesn’t mean he had to like it. Dillon could see the way Elliott’s mind was spinning and said, “if you tell her then you know at least.”
Elliott nodded and said, “I’ll think about it.” Dillon shook his head and said, “if you don’t and regret it remember I tried to tell you.” Dillon left and Elliott got ready for the ball. The girls were smiling as they linked arms with Kay and led her away in their bubble of joy. When they led her to the castle the guards were shocked to see Kay with them and Lucas not far behind.
As Alexander and Emma were heading to check on the preparations, they saw Kay with them and were surprised and decided to talk to them. when they got to them Kay and the others greeted them and Emma smiled at them before saying, “Kay, I thought you guys would be another day. Though I’m glad you guys are back in time for the ball, where is Elliott?”
