He smiled a little and said, “that’s all I ask.” He started to leave then turned back and asked, “Kay are you still on good terms with their king it might be best if you come with me to take them back if you are I’m currently not on the best of terms with him.” Kay gave him a small smile and said, “I am but I feel like you’re using me as a shield from him.” Lucas smiled and said, “just a little bit plus it’s a good reason to get to hang out with you a little longer so long as Prince Elliott doesn’t mind you coming with me.” He then looked at Elliott and said, “I can send one of my guards with you or we can wait until you guys get back to your kingdom.”
Elliott wanted to talk with Lucas and check on Kay. As he thought about it Kay said, “it would probably be better to escort them back then leave from there should he agree to let you borrow me.” Elliott said, “I think that would work better. Will you be riding with us or heading back to your castle first.” Lucas glanced at Kay and said, “I think I’ll just ride next to Kay.” One of the soldiers brought a horse next to Lucas and he climbed on and asked, “are we ready to go?”
Elliott and Xavier got in the carriage Kay climbed on her horse and they all got going. Lucas rode next to Kay and kept an eye on her he could tell she was upset as they went but couldn’t figure out what to say to help her. They stayed quiet for the most part as they rode. When they got to the castle Kay went straight to her room and got ready to head out once again. she grabbed a change of clothes before sitting down and tried to pull herself together before heading to the cafeteria to get something to eat for the journey she then headed back to where Lucas and Elliott were waiting.
Meanwhile Lucas had noticed Elliott didn’t seem to want Kay to leave so asked, “Elliott would you like to join us? After all it was your carriage, they attacked and they might question why I have one of your soldiers.” Elliott agreed and went to get ready and let his parents know. he got back just before Kay and they headed out when Kay joined them.
