The queen's name was Emma she had blond hair like Xavier and Elliott’s jade green eyes. Once they were close enough Alexander said, “we have called you both here because of the soldier named Kay.” Xavier and Elliott both tried to hide their interest in what they were going to say about Kay as Alexander continued, “it has been brought to our attention that she is both and excellent tactician and sword fighter. We have been discussing which one of you would make better use of her skills.”
Xavier started to say something when Elliott said, “why not let her choose? She knows her skills better than we do so it would be better to let her pick.” Xavier wasn’t happy about what Elliott said. So, Xavier asked, “why move her at all? She seems to be doing well under my command so why change that now?”
Emma looked at Xavier and said, “with you she can only be used as a tactician. With Elliott she can be used on the front lines and make better plans seeing how the enemy is moving but the question is would her tactical skills be more use closer or further from battle. I agree with Elliott, Kay knows her skills better she should decide.” As Emma said that she nodded to the messenger to go get Kay. After a few minutes the messenger came in with Kay.
As Kay walked in, she noticed Elliott and Xavier in the room as well and almost froze in her tracks but forced herself to keep going straight. When she stood before them all she bowed and waited to be addressed. Emma was watching Elliott and Xavier’s reactions to Kay’s presents. Emma could see Kay stood just slightly closer to Elliott but said nothing. Alexander then explained why she was called. Kay was shocked as she looked up and Emma caught it.
Kay glanced at Elliott who hadn’t even looked in her direction when she entered then at Xavier who was occasionally looking her up and down. Before she said, “if you want my opinion, I would have to say I am more suited for the front lines. I am much better with close range weapons then long range.
