They continued the ball as if nothing happened, Xavier noticed how Alice acted earlier and figured she wasn’t Kay but wondered where Kay was and was disappointed when she never returned to the party with the others and paid little attention to Alice after that. After the ball was over the girls went to get ready for bed right away.
They allowed Xavier, Dillon, and Elliott to spend the night at the castle. Xavier went to his room right away mad he couldn’t tell which one of the girls was Kay until it was too late and she had left, two guards were placed outside each of their doors as personal escorts if they needed anything. Dillon went to his room next, but when Elliott started to go to his room Lucas caught him and had Elliott follow him. As they walked Lucas said, “so, you never answered my question from earlier. Are you ever going to tell her how you feel about her?” Elliott stopped and asked, “why do you want to know?”
Lucas smiled and said, “because if you never plan on telling her and you just want to protect her you can always choose to marry one of my sisters and bring Kay here to live.” Elliott said, “you know I can’t do that.” Lucas shrugged and said, “then you should tell her how you feel it’s better to tell her so she knows how you feel before it’s too late.” He had muttered the last part, Elliott then asked, “what did the doctor say? How is she?” Lucas smiled and said, “see for yourself.”
He opened a door near them and found kay sleeping in the middle of the bed with Lilly and Alice on either side of her holding her hands as they slept, they had on sleeping masks. Lucas smiled and whispered, “I should have known they would be in here with her at least they look like they’re sleeping peacefully.” Elliott was surprised to see them there but could see Kay was sleeping peacefully so, he was glad she was safe and comfortable. Lucas shut the door back and said, “she’s going to be fine by tomorrow morning she might have a headache but otherwise she will be fine.”
