Elena Ortiz lives every day in fear. At sixteen years old, she has faced more violence than anyone deserves. Each day she counts down to the day she turns eighteen and can escape what should be her home. The only ones getting her through it are her best friends Zoey, and Alonso.
But everything changes one day when after escaping the worst night of her life, Elena and Alonso fall and find themselves in a world that is not their own. Now they must learn to live in this new, medieval world, but not everything is as it seems.
