NFT (non-fungible token) is a unique digital certificate stored on a blockchain that provides exclusive ownership rights to a digital asset, like a work of digital art.

NFT cannot be replaced or changed, it is tied to only one digital object.

An NFT is created, or “minted” from digital objects, including:

• Grafic art(picture, photo, painting etc.);
• Videos;
• Music;
• Game object (skins, virtual avatars etc.);
• Text content (book, social media post, article, poem etc.).

NFT is an analogue of a document certifying the right to an object. It contains information about the owner and a set of rights provided by a token.

How does it work?

All NFTs are stored on a blockchain. Blockchain is a distributed database that is stored on many computers connected by Internet at the same time. Information is stored as a consistent chain of blocks, while each new block contains information from a previous one.

Token is registry entry in blockchain. Any user can check originality and history of any NFT via blockchain.

When NFT is created, the original digital content (picture, text file, audio file etc.) is placed in eternal storage (IPFS) and linked to NFT. Buying an NFT a user acquires a digital certificate on this object, though the original digital object is not transfered elsewhere.

NFT can be compared to a painting in a art gallery. It belongs to the gallery, museum or private individual, but the audience can see it in an exhibition or in a magazine.

For artists NFT is an innovative method to protect one's copyright to a work, an opportunity to monetize their work and reach larger audience.

An NFTs and cryptocurrencies are stored in crypto wallets.

Crypto wallet is a programm where private and public cryptographic keys are stored. These keys enable users to perform cryptocurrency transactions and to have access to your digital assets.

Public key is a wallet identifier (a blockchain address). Public key is an analogue of a bank account number. It is disclosed when it should be specified where to send crypto assets.

Private key is required to confirm transactions. Private key secures access to your assets in the wallet, therefore it shouldn't be disclosed.

A crypto wallet for your Neobook account where your NFT will be stored is created automatically. You can find all disclosed data of your crypto wallet in your profile.

We take care of your assets security and take on storage of your Neobook crypto wallet private key, therefore you needn't to know it. If you are aware of the way cryptocurrencies works, you can transfer your NFTs from Neobook wallet to other crypto wallet independently.

You can sell NFT as copies of your work or with copyright transfer.

Selling of any NFT is done in cryptocurrency. You can set a price for NFT in a suitable fiat currency (for example in euro). When selling NFT the amount will be automatically converted from the cryptocurrency to the selected currency. After a successful selling the sum will go to your account and NFT will be transfered to purchasers' crypto wallet.
