Hi, so I never done something like this before, but I would really love to bring the comunity a bit closer togheter. So I was thinking of hosting a collaberation, that everyone can join. This collab may be diffrent then lot’s of other collaberations since all entries are stand alone entries. That means on the End we will have a hopefully huge collection of diffrent poems and/or stories about Winter. They will be posted on my Account but you can freely post yours once the complete collab is published. So here is some info : - The theme will be ”the joy of Winter” you have full creativ control of how you want to make it (poem, short story etc.) It can be christmas themed but it doesn’t have to be. - All entries must be turned in in my DM’s (you can post your part once the collab is over) - deadline is 20th December (a month from now) -all Entries will be posted in a collection (a book) each chapter is assigned to an author (properly creditet) - NO AI generated poems!! I love it in media when a character yearns for one person so badly. So I kinda created an oc who yearns for a woman called Juliette. It's not a story just a concept but I did write this little letter. The oc wrote (I still have no name for him 😭) Dear Juliette There was not a day. In wich i didn't seak you. Not a day in which the whispering of the waves haven't reminded me of your name. Not a day without the wind telling me in which direction you went. Not even in night do you leave me at peace. When the candles dimm; I see your shadow hunting over me. It has your figure but it lacks your warmth. In my dreams you never went. It's just when I wake up that I'm reminded of your haunting. Oh my dear Juliette. Ever since that day, I never stopped cursing at the sea, my anger just rises more with every storm, I yell at the clouds and thunders, praying it might tell me your whereabouts. My crew thinks I'm losing my mind. They think I went insane, a little bit crazy. Telling me how I should let you go, how I'm not grieving properly, what do they know?! The only thing they're good at is making a mess of things,truth is I don't want them to be right. But oh Juliette. I can sense you. I know that you are alive. You are somewhere right? You have to be. No swears in this paragraph! :) Ik i usually say a lot of swears but I wanna better myself. I love writing, I love reading But I am just so bad at it. I’ve read stories I wrote in middle school, I stumbled upon them on our old family laptop. Guess what? I STILL WRITE EXACTLY THE SAME? HOW’S THAT POSSIBLE??? And the same thing goes with art, I am just not improving and it’s frustrating me so much. The only thing I did that, where I improved was editing amv’s or edits, during corona I’d just spend sometimes up to six hours in alight motion editing clips making transitions etc. I EVEN CAME UP WITH MY OWN! and I had a Instagram profile where I did tutorials, this was such a different era. But then around 2022 I just stopped i got so burned out. I tried again a month ago for old times sake. And to no one’s surprise I can’t even do that anymore. I understand that the point of doing something isn’t to be the best at it but rather to have fun. However I just want to succeed at something too, I am living in the shadows of my non-existent potential and it’s trying me... I just want to be good at something too...

So I’ve been working on my WIP And usually books have a theme but I'm so sure if I’m doing it right. I wrote it because I wanted to write a found family trope. And I’m happy with what I have so far. However I’m not sure if I’m getting the theme right Can my theme be ”people around you can influence you in good or bad ways” And the messages ”people may influence you but you still shape yourself by the decision you make?” I’m not really sure if I want to go with it but writing so far all my characters influence each other. They leave there traces to each other. And personally I think it’s very true to the real world that people around you make you who you are, what you adapted from them (example some traits from your parents) it can be both good and bad traits. But now I’m thinking it’s a bit underwhelming Also on another side I’ve finally found a title, it may not be final I’m still thinking about it --- Sorry for any grammatical mistakes or missed words in this paragraph I tried fixing them put they keep appearing (maybe it's just my phone)

Hi guys, so idk why but I just can’t catch a break. Today at my training, I ripped a muscle on my back and I’ve been unable to move for a few hours, my back is killing me, walking hurts and sitting too, I can’t even lay down without feeling as if someone where to stab me in the back. So I’m really uncomfortable and I’m unable to sleep due to the excruciating pain. Believed it or not, This isn’t the first time this happend. And worst of all there isn’t much I can do, I need to rest for 3 days now until the muscles ”relaxes” And what's even worse IT’S WEEKEND, so I can’t even enjoy my free days, smh should have ripped my back on Monday but NO I just had to do it today 🤦

I do I am scared of bunnies. Idk why they freak me out, it's just something about them that sends a shiver down my spine. And I never really knew until recently because my mom decided to get a bunny and I can't even be close to it because it SCARES ME. It's not a phobia though because I don't get all sweaty and anxious, the bunny just makes me feel feel uncomfortable and uneasy when I'm in the same room as him. 🙁 I have no idea what bunnies ever did to me to make me feel scared of them in any way and I don't even know how to overcome this fear in the first place. I did try to pet it but then it moved and I jumped away 😭 WHY AM I SCARED OF A LITTLE BUNNY 😭😭😭😭

So I have a big big BIG thing coming for you guys, and it’s probably not what you think. I’ve been pretty transparent about the fact that my name (Ann E. McKenzie) is a pen name and that I am a minor. Back when I started on Commaful, I was only 14 years old and super wary of how corruptive being online could be as a young girl. So I created a fake name that made me sound older than I actually was, and I never shared my face, age, real name, or where I lived. But I never realized how great of a community I would be a part of and how many wonderful friends I would meet as Ann. In the first year or so of my writing journey, Ann E. McKenzie was always supposed to be my forever author name, but as I grew up, I learned more about myself and I grew more into who I am today, and ultimately, I came to the decision that what I truly wanted was to be 100% myself in the most passionate part of my life. So I decided that I would be Ann as long as I was still young. The plan back then was to wait till I was 18/or wait until I was about to publish my first book. But I became so much more excited for this time in my life, and I also became guilty about the fact that I was hiding myself behind a fake name. But I prayed and I meditated on it for a long time, and only a few months ago, I became super attached and really, truly, ready to reveal this part of myself to you guys and start promoting my writing online, like I see so many young teenage authors doing. I’m not 18 or even close to publishing my book, but now is the time. After this school year, I will have more time to focus on growing my presence online, and writing won’t have to be on the back burner over my schoolwork anymore. So here I am, right now, telling you guys that I am finally stepping into who I truly am as a writer. Now, I won’t be revealing my forever author name in this post, I’m just coming on here, saying this now to hopefully make the transition easier. Who knows, I might even make it a kind of unscramble the letters game, but it’s my name lol, but more about that later, for now, here’s some more info about this. No. 1: Ann is the only real part about my current pen name, but it’s not my first name; it’s my middle name. I will be keeping Ann in my author name, just adding on my first and last names too ❤️ No. 2: one of the main reasons I’m doing this now is because my debut novel isn’t in the first draft stages anymore! I’m editing it, and the timeline when I publish is growing closer and more final (in 2027 or 2028), and I would like to start being a part of the indie author community on Instagram and start promoting my writing! So, this summer, after school is over, I will be making my official author Instagram and revealing my name! No. 3: Even though I’m sharing my real name, I will not be showing my face online quite yet, as I am under 18 years old, and I would still like to keep that part of my life private while I am still a minor. And No. 4: This change in my name will not affect the relationships I have with people on here. I’m still working out how this will all play out, and I’m fully aware that this will likely be an uncomfortable transition for other people, because I know so many people on here who frequently use my name, which will be changing in a few months. But ultimately, I would like to be addressed by my real name when it is revealed, but I’m willing to do anything to make this transition easier for all of you. Also, I do deeply apologize for the disruption that I’m causing, but I would love to keep being a part of this community while also being 100% true to myself. Okay that was a ton of information, so I think I’m going to leave it at that. If you guys like the idea of making this reveal a game, let me know, and I can talk more about that later on. So one of my friends gave me the awesome idea of starting a newsletter so you guys can be updated on the happenings of my book! I know some of you are interested in it, but seeing as I won’t be publishing until 2027 a newsletter can remind you guys of it, even if you aren’t active on Neobook! Now if this is happening, it definitely won’t happen until this summer but i wanted to put the idea out here now to see what you guys think. The newsletter would be completely free—the only info I would need for it would be your email! They even liked it before hand. and I was like thank you and then they reply with ”can we reconnect on another social media platform” DUDE. IT WAS GENUINE AT FIRST: UNTIL THIS CRAP. how dare they hurt my feelings :( the compliment means nothing now... i am sad and heartbroken and I was a bit rude in my reply but idc rn. hope you guys can read it. just be carefull ... i feel so stupid rn

warning I found a new scam they are doing here and it involes facebook. Befor we continue NEVER CLICK ANY LINKS SENT TO YOU -anyways I recently got a few DM’s that go something like this ”Hello awsome/amazing writer. I’d like to help you with your reach, message me on facebook [insert link]” So if you click on it (never do it) it leads to a pop up that asks you to log in. There is the problem it looks legit. But it’s not, it’s a fake phishing link where they take your username and passwort and use it to log into your account. Why? To turn you into a bot yourself... so now you will lose acces to it and they will spread this scam accross your friends list... If you fell victim to it. Don’t worry mistakes happen. Change your password if it isn’t to late and contact the facebook support team , with the concern of being ”hacked”. Stay safe. If you have any questions comment them. Is it just me or do I just prefer writing? You know, when people ask me to read their stories the hesitation that comes from me after is really concerning. I love writing storyplays but when it comes to reading stories, gosh! Maybe later.. Am I really the only one who only loves to write and not read???

Thank you guys this was so fun to see. I was extremely curious how old people perceive me as. I am 21. But i noticed a lot of people, strangers especially think I’m an high-schooler, so they’re always kinda surprised when I tell them that I’m a legal adult. Most of you where really close I think what threw people off where the VHS tapes, when I was born they slowly started getting replaced by DVDs. And many of you guessed much older. Absolut peak. 10/10 Being kind IS the new Punkrock Cried, i was sobbing, left the cinema with the biggest smile on my face. Felt like a kid full of hopes and dreams again. Absolutely loved the message, how they implemented real world problems into essentially a fictional world, I loved the way it was pro Palastine and how superman was anti genocide ! I loved it. It’s my new favorite movie. Wish I could write more, you guys need to watch it. I love superman 💞💞💞
